One day I was sitting around with some Mamas at Hot Mama Fit Sylvan Lake and we started chatting about giving back to the community and what we could do. It was such a great conversation and the Mamas were so excited and willing to give back and help out their local community (such an amazing thing to be a part of and witness). One of the biggest things that we kept coming back to was having a Diaper and Wipe Drive. We wanted it to be local and we wanted everything we collected to go back to our Sylvan Lake Community.
I reached out to Leslie Levac, who is a Doula for Doulas of Red Deer & Area, about having a Diaper drive and she was on board! Then I had two amazing Hot Mamas, Lindsay Percy and Stacey Rideout, from Hot Mama Fit Sylvan Lake step up and volunteer their time to help out with the organization and planning of this amazing event. Thank you, Mamas! YOU ROCK! Seriously, I am beyond grateful for everything you Mamas did for this event! Would not have happened with out you.
The support from our Community was overwhelming and such a pleasure to be surrounded by. The local business that stepped up to have Drop Off Diaper/Wipe boxes at their business was amazing! I would like to thank all these businesses for helping us out on this event:

The sense of Community and all the FEELS you feel when doing an event like this for your local Community is amazing! Jenn Baliant from Sylvan Lake Community Partners was overjoyed when we dropped off or big haul of Diapers and wipes to her. She showed us the Local Baby Food Bank and where Families can come to get Diapers, Wipes, Formula or anything else they might need from personal hygiene items to Baby food.
